Combined SharePoint Expertise Drives Web 2.0 Growth and Innovation

BELLEVUE, Wash.— January 15, 2008—Ascentium Corporation, a leading interactive marketing and technology consultancy, today announced the acquisition of top Microsoft UK SharePoint Products and Technologies partner, Artemis Corporation. This expansion represents Ascentium’s first international office and allows the company to cater to growing business opportunities throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.

A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, the Artemis team is best known in the UK and throughout the global Microsoft enterprise content management (ECM) and SharePoint Products and Technologies communities as thought leaders in compliance, governance and unified communication solutions. By joining the Ascentium team, Artemis will be able to augment their deep SharePoint Products and Technologies and ECM expertise as well as offer strategic and complementary services such as analytics, interactive marketing, CRM, and business intelligence to better serve their existing customers and to expand the business internationally.

“For over a decade, Artemis has provided our customers with the most innovative solutions to solve their content management and collaboration challenges. By pooling our collective ECM and SharePoint expertise as well as adding a host of complementary Ascentium services and investment, we will be able to deliver on that commitment to customers like never before, ” said Tony Sloggett, co-founder and the chief solution architect for Artemis, at the announcement of the acquisition.

Established in 1997, the Artemis team has a long successful track record in designing, delivering, and supporting innovative solutions that transform the way their customers do business. The company’s success in delivering Microsoft-centric solutions to solve challenging business problems such as meeting government compliance requirements and deploying dynamic, collaborative portals has been recognized with two Global Awards at last year’s Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference. An innovative company with significant intellectual property, Artemis recently launched RAPID for Office SharePoint Server 2007 which features a comprehensive classification framework that enables organizations to maintain compliance by extending Office SharePoint Server 2007 to support any taxonomy.

“We’re excited about this opportunity to partner with such a stellar team that also shares our commitment to our customers’ continued success,” said Jim Beebe, president of Ascentium. “We are looking forward to bringing Artemis into the Ascentium family to better serve the UK market and to scale to the increasing demand for enterprise-ready SharePoint services in Europe.”
