James Beebe
Founder and President
With more than thirty years in technology, and an understanding of broad issues matched by a fine eye for detail, Jim works with Curt to provide Ascentium’s overall business leadership and vision.
Prior to Ascentium, Jim served as vice president of customer services at construction industry online exchange ContractorHub.com. Before that, he was partner and cofounder of consulting services company Excell Data Corporation, where he built and helped run Excell’s Application Development Division and Networking Services Division from 1992-1998. And Jim spent more than a decade at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was U.S. Operations Manager.
After a B.Sc. in mathematics from the University of Washington, Jim did postgraduate work in software engineering at Seattle University.

Curt Doolittle
Founder, CEO and Chief Strategy Officer
Curt leads Ascentium's management team, defining the company’s vision and agenda, leading the company in its transition from roots in enterprise technology to increasing emphasis on marketing. To call Curt a big-picture thinker is to understate his views. A founder or principle in seven companies spanning technology, law, art and marketing, Curt is also a prolific student and writer of philosophy, economic philosophy and political economy—much of it associated with The Mises Institute, an economic think tank. Curt is also currently writing a series of books exploring the frontiers of interactive marketing, to be published in Spring 2009.

Steven Salta
Founder and COO
One of Ascentium’s founders, Steven ensures that we deliver well on all our operational commitments, and he manages our customer loyalty programs. To call him a technology process expert is more than an understatement; Steven’s experience in managing leading-edge enterprise software development and database design spans more than three decades. He has managed at commercial construction exchange ContractorHub.com; he partnered in international consultancy Cambridge Technology Partners, delivering leading-edge technology solutions for Fortune 50 companies; he was a key member of the Microsoft team that designed and developed the phenomenally successful Microsoft Access database; he ran the application development team at Sequent Computer Systems (now a division of IBM); and he cut his teeth managing IT for ten years at Tektronix Corporation. If you want to know how to get something done well and smoothly in database technology, Steven is your man.

Alain Dias
Managing Partner, Ascentium Interactive
As managing partner and executive vice president, Alain leads Ascentium's sales, marketing, strategic alliances, and corporate expansion initiatives. A widely read authority on the subject of business transformation, process innovation, and value chain optimization, and co-author of seminal industry text Technology Strategy: Pure & Simple (1999), Alain assists companies and government agencies worldwide reinvent themselves through technology. In a former life Alain was director of strategic services at Interlink Group, where he helped clients such as Alyeska Pipeline and Bonneville Power Admnistration identify emerging market trends along with strategic technology opportunities to make the most of them. He was also a partner with DPI WorldWide, helping Fortune 500 top managers align technology with business strategy. Alain is a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.

Dan Larkin
Managing Partner, Ascentium Consulting
Leading sales and delivery of Ascentium professional services, Dan ensures that our business solutions turn into client successes. His teams work with enterprise clients to develop complex software, integrate disparate systems, run ecommerce and organize customer relationship management.
Dan has been consulting and leading consulting practices since 2001, most recently as Vice President of Consulting Services at Tectura. Prior to his consulting career, Dan spent more than a decade leading marketing and planning teams at Alaska Airlines. He also led the product development effort for FairAir.com, an innovative travel exchange that explored new sales channels for air travel. Dan holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with honors, from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Western Washington University.

Romi Mahajan
Chief Marketing Officer
Romi leads and defines Ascentium’s marketing vision. He came to us after seven years at Microsoft, where he was Director of Technical Audience and Platform Marketing. Prior to that he started two consulting companies to organize joint technical and financial ventures between U.S. and Asian companies. A well-known speaker on the technology and media circuit, Romi serves on a number of industry boards, including the Executive Customer Advisory Board of Ziff-Davis Enterprise. He has been a panelist at Windows Connections, United Business Media Leadership, Microsoft Tech-Ed, Web 2.0, Interop and other conferences. He is published in Siliconeer, Silicon India, TechNet Magazine and in other journals worldwide. Romi holds a Masters Degree in South Asian Studies from the University of Texas. He earned his Bachelors Degree in South Asian Studies at age 19 from the University of California, Berkley.

Mark Moskal
Executive Creative Director
Mark inspires, guides, and enables our large and talented team of creative professionals to bring to life incredible brand experiences.
He has played a major role in advancing us from our pure technology consulting roots to one of the nation’s leading digital agencies in less than three years, winning a slew of awards from the Webbys to the ADDYs, and many more. Mark came to us from five years at San Francisco digital shop Fluid, where his work helped clinch many of the agency’s top accounts including Design Within Reach, JanSport, Reebok, and The North Face, winning accolades from Communication Arts, Adobe, the Webbys, the Daveys, Flashforward, FWA, HOW Design, and SXSW. Mark has presented at SXSW, ReMIX Boston, and Flashforward NYC. Mark earned a BS in communications with an emphasis in advertising from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed postgraduate work in design and technology at Parsons in New York City.

Alessandro Muti
Chief Technology Officer
Alessandro’s team works at the extreme forefront of Microsoft technology, with world-caliber software engineering experience across most other platforms as well. Alessandro came to us after a decade at Microsoft, where he played a key role in the development of Windows, led the development team for the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine and designed and architected all components for the Windows Out of the Box Experience connectivity technology. As the development lead and architect for the Windows Update team, Alessandro developed and delivered the core Critical Update and Automatic Update technologies that are utilized by several hundred million users every day. And several of his patents are the stepping stones of BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer System). In other words, Alessandro is a technologist’s technologist.
