With premier resort and lifestyle properties across the western United States, JELD-WEN Communities caters to customers with high expectations. The company was experiencing rapid growth and found its legacy systems coming up short. In particular, its poorly integrated hospitality reservations application resulted in slow transactions that failed to deliver the level of customer service JELD-WEN Communities demanded.
Faced with other issues such as security and overall IT support, the company sought Ascentium's expertise to reassess its infrastructure and implement needed changes. After defining the scope of work, Ascentium then mapped out a migration from the company’s outdated Novell-based infrastructure. Using Microsoft Systems Management Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Windows Server, Ascentium deployed an improved environment in 6 weeks—covering 800 employees in 7 offices.
