Sharing the Big Idea
As one of the largest healthcare services providers in the nation, McKesson Corporation wanted to share its vision of empowered healthcare on the Web. Looking beyond product names, sales numbers and technologies, McKesson wanted customers to comprehend its role in healthcare of the future.
McKesson came to Ascentium to design, develop, produce, and execute the McKesson Online Vision Center, a forward-looking site that encompasses McKesson’s mission and offerings. The project consisted of extensive site design, Flash development, and concepting of the ‘”big idea,” not to mention a full-fledged video production with casting, scriptwriting and directing. The site’s blend of video and graphic design helps bolster McKesson vision of future endeavors and creates a personal relationship between the user and the characters in the stories.
Ascentium built four separate video narratives that tell the story of McKesson's vision and impact on health care providers and recipients (patients, nurses, pharmacists, and doctors). Rather than focus on McKesson products and services, each video concentrates on the benefits of McKesson technologies—how a technically streamlined system allows more time for personal care.
This Web experience won recognition as Adobe Site of the Day in May. Proving that it has achieved its goal as a visually-stunning and engaging experience that exemplifies the work McKesson does to empower health care. Check out the site here.
