Sharing Success
Evidence of past success drives a business value and acts as a proof point to win future business. Even for a well-known technology company like Microsoft, success can shed light on lesser-known solutions. Microsoft was spending time and money generating “customer evidence” for all its great successes, however these published success stories were difficult to discover online. The Microsoft Success team wanted to redefine the standard for customer evidence and create a compelling and interactive environment for their users.
Microsoft came to Ascentium, hoping for a fresh and interactive experience. Melding video elements, design, and copy to relay Microsoft’s success, we took their vision and executed it. We used an array of Microsoft products (Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Expression Blend, SQL Server, .Net services, and Silverlight) and our talented interactive UX team and dove in.
With Silverlight technology we developed a scalable solution, using a site host personality to introduce site visitors to stories and engaging them in a multimedia presentation of customer success with Microsoft products. The collaboration between user experience, design, Rich Internet Application (RIA) development, and video production resulted in an engaging site that pushed the limits of an emerging technology. And momentum is building rapidly. Shortly after launching the site, additional product groups lined up to include their customer and partner success stories.
